Gen Z Believes Buying a Home is Out of Reach.

Join the Movement to make homeownership more accessible to the next generation.

The Problem:
There is a financial literacy crisis.

Today, homeownership feels far out of reach for the majority of young consumers.

Affordability: Gen Z feels that owning a home is not attainable.

  • 58% said the cost of renting prevents them from buying.

  • 39% said the limited availability of affordable housing options prevents them from buying.

Education: Whether they buy or rent, Gen Z doesn’t have the confidence in their knowledge to buy or care for their home.

  • 39% said lack of knowledge was a barrier to buying, and nearly half still believe you need 20% in a down payment.

  • Nearly one in three (30%) Gen Z homebuyers said they were not confident in their ability to care for or maintain their home

Trust: They don’t have anyone to trust.

  • Only 14% reported they have the financial advice and support they need,

  • Only 58% said they would trust a loan officer and 67% would trust a real estate agent to help them make smart decisions about buying a home.
